Things aren’t going so well for the world’s most evil corporation as we approach the year 2018. In addition to constantly fighting against the public interest in order to conceal the presence of its products in the global food supply (what legitimate company has to do this just to stay in business?), agribusiness giant Monsanto is now facing a barrage of negative press concerning all of the growing independent research that shows its chemical concoctions are killing people – not to mention the more than 285 lawsuits against the company that are currently pending just in San Francisco alone.
A review of Monsanto happenings recently put forth by U.S. Right to Know reveals that the Creve Coeur-based biotechnology corporation is in boiling hot water at this point as a groundswell of scientific data links its flagship herbicide Roundup (glyphosate) to increasing rates of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. No matter how the company tries to spin the truth, a growing number of people around the world are now developing this severe form of blood cancer in connection with exposure to Roundup, which is currently sprayed on tens of millions of acres of non-organic food crops every single year as a “safe and effective” remedy for pests.
Monsanto has tried for decades now to conceal the truth about Roundup and the tremendous damage it causes to the human body. But the cat is now out of the bag, as evidenced by what many are now referring to as “The Monsanto Paper” – a treasure trove of indicting evidence that Monsanto has known all along about the dangers of Roundup, but has continued to push the chemical anyway.
It is based on this and other damning evidence that some 3,500 plaintiffs and counting are now suing Monsanto for covering up the known risks of Roundup, which, had the truth been revealed from the start, likely would have kept Roundup from ever being approved in the first place. And now that the multinational corporation has generated untold billions of dollars in profits from Roundup, the time is ripe for justice to be served and for at least some of that money to return to those who have been injured by exposure to this noxious solution.
“This is a look behind the curtain,” says Brent Wisner, one of the attorneys leading the charge in this massive lawsuit against Monsanto, about all that The Monsanto Papers have to say about what’s really been going on at the company.
“These show that Monsanto has deliberately been stopping studies that look bad for them, ghostwriting literature and engaging in a whole host of corporate malfeasance. They (Monsanto) have been telling everybody that these products are safe because regulators have said they are safe, but it turns out that Monsanto has been in bed with U.S. regulators while misleading European regulators.”
Moving into 2018, the victims of Monsanto’s chemical crusade are set to speak about their plight during the first week of March. Argument from the counsel is set to take place during the second or third weeks of March, which will be preceded by a Claims Construction Hearing as well as a Motion for Summary Judgment and Daubert Motion on General Causation in Courtroom 4 on the 17th floor of the U.S. District Court in San Francisco.
“Concerns about the safety of glyphosate and Roundup have been growing for years amid mounting research showing links to cancer or other diseases,” reads an article by Carey Gillam from The Huffington Post that was republished with permission by Natural News. “The plaintiffs in the lawsuits allege that the combination of glyphosate with certain surfactants used in Monsanto-branded Roundup products is even more toxic than glyphosate alone, and Monsanto has sought to cover up that information.”
